Punjab finance minister to hoist flag on Republic Day in Ludhiana

The Republic Day would be celebrated at Guru Nanak Stadium on January 26 in which the national flag would be hoisted by Punjab finance and planning minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa, said Ludhiana deputy commissioner (DC) Rajat Agarwal on Monday.

In a meeting at Guru Nanak Stadium, the DC addressed the officers of the various department regarding the arrangements for the Republic Day function. He said the feeling of nationhood should be evolved in the heart of every person.

Additional deputy commissioner Neeru Katyal gave the details of the duties to be performed by the officers.

Deputy director of education officer also ensured the officials that cultural programmes and other related activities regarding Republic Day would be organised in all the schools in the city.
