At a press conference here, Dyal termed the recent progressive Punjab meet as a hoax exercise to create illusion amongst the voters by the 'bankrupt state government'.

He said that the government has badly failed on the law and order front and the social sector and the industry is winding up and moving to Gujarat and other hilly states, but still the chief minister is claiming that Punjab was progressing.

He said that CPI could claim that 70% of the MoUs signed at the progressive Punjab summit will remain in papers only, as there is no conducive atmosphere in the state for the development of the industry, as goons are calling the shots in liquor, transport and sand mining sectors.

He said that unemployment in the state was widespread and students who had PhD are also applying for posts of clerks and peons.
