This is the second time that the dates for conducting the PTM have been changed. On March 22, the education secretary had said that schools had to declare the results and hold the PTM on March 26.
Bawra told HT, "As the Class-10 exams are on and teachers are on examination duty, we have changed the dates of the PTM."

In a written communique issued by the director general, school education, DGSE office, all school heads have been told to declare the results to students on March 31 and conduct the PTM on April 7.

At the PTM, teachers will provide the progress report of students to their parents besides giving their remarks on the performance of students.

Following this, a group discussion can be held in which the headmaster or principal can discuss various matters with the parents and seek their suggestions on how to improve the performance of children. Parents will also be motivated to take care of the needs of their children and not to spank them.
