Punjabi writer Kulwinder Kaur Minhas, 39, who has penned 11 books dedicated to Punjabi literature, social concerns and Sikh gurus, was conferred with Bibi Roop Kaur Award by city-based Guru Granth Sahib Prachar Trust here on Monday.

Environmentalist Sant Balbir Seechewal presented the award to her. Currently, Mihas is president of Gyan Anjan Academy. Addressing the audience, she said, “There is a need to work on the rich Punjabi literature and its history. Such books can uplift our culture.”
