The victim, who has also approached the Punjab Human Rights Commission and the state DGP, to demand a probe into the matter and get a case registered, said she had lodged a written complaint against the suspects at Chohla Sahib police station. According to sources, the victim, who was married to Prithi Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, five years ago said her husband was an electrician and was working in a private company based at Chohla Sahib.

"The company had signed a contract with my husband for installing new transformers in fields," she said, adding that her husband lost his arms due power shock when he was installing a transformer. The company did not pay her husband the salary amounting to Rs 2 lakh, she claimed.
