The recruitment for outstanding sportsmen is on May 17, for soldier clerk on May 19 and for soldier tradesmen and solider general duty on May 22.

For soldier general duty, Sikh (except Mazhabi, Ramdasia and SC/ST), Dogra and other Indian castes (OIC), candidates hailing from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, north and north west Rajasthan will be considered.

For soldier general duty category, the candidate should have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 33% marks in each subject and 45% marks in aggregate.

Candidates having higher qualification (Class 12 or more) also need to have at least 45% marks in matric.

For soldier clerk category, Class 12-pass candidate with minimum 50% marks in each subject and 60% marks in aggregate will be considered.

For soldier tradesmen category, the candidate should have passed simple Class 10.

For soldier general duty category, the candidate should be between 17.5 to 21 years of age and for soldier clerk and soldier tradesmen category, the age of the candidate should be between 17.5 to 23 years.
