Rohan Thakur is Hamirpur's new DC

Rohan Chand Thakur, an IAS officer of the 2009 batch, took over as the district's new deputy commissioner on Tuesday, replacing Ashish Singhmar.

Thakur was earlier additional deputy commissioner of Kangra district. He had already served as block development officer of Pachhad and as Bilaspur subdivisional magistrate.

Thakur, who held a meeting with local officials and also visited the mini-secretariat, said his main thrust would be to provide justice to the common man and to make the administration more transparent.
