Rohtang Pass received season's second snowfall on Saturday, cutting off the tribal district Lahaul and Spiti from rest of the country.
Official sources said that Rohtang received more than three feet snowfall, while Gulaba received two feet snowfall.
They added that it forced Lahaul and Spiti administration to remove its rescue posts from Marhi and Koksar, which were earlier set up for helping the people crossing over the Rohtang pass from both Manali and Lahaul side.
Deputy Commissioner Lahaul Spiti Hans Raj Chauhan told HT that "due to inclement weather we have decided to remove the recue posts from both Marhi and Koksar side on Saturday and people are advised to refrain from to cross over the mighty Rohtang pass on foot, which may put their life in danger."
This time Lahaul Spiti district also received snowfall in the region, where more than 10 cm snowfall was received at Keylong, while two-foot snowfall at Koksar and other areas, which halted the internal traffic movement in the district.
Weather turned inclement in the district from Friday evening, which crippled the normal life in district Kullu and tribal district Lahaul Spiti.

Hoteliers of Kullu-Manali are hopeful that the fresh spell of snowfall would reap a good business for them in coming days in Kullu district, because tourists now moving toward here to enjoy the snow activity in the region.
