Through the recently implemented system of online payments to various departments and authorities besides salaries of government officials/employees, the Fatehgarh Sahib district has credited Rs 78.1 crore in a short span of three months.
Announcing this here on Saturday, deputy commissioner Arun Sekhri said that crediting online payments was running successfully.
He said all government payments from April 1 were being deposited directly into the bank accounts of the departments and authorities concerned. Sekhri said that in Fatehgarh Sahib district, 27,419 beneficiaries had directly benefited from the scheme.
Sekhri said that in Fatehgarh Sahib treasury, Rs 52 crore had been disbursed to 16,800 beneficiaries. In Amloh treasury, Rs 10 crore had been disbursed to 4,679 beneficiaries. In Bassi Pathana, Rs 8 crore was disbursed to 3,438 beneficiaries. In Khamano treasury, Rs 7 crore was disbursed to 4,679 beneficiaries.
