S Francisco team signs MoU with Gian Sagar

A team of medical experts from El Camino in San Francisco in the United States today visited the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Gian Sagar Educational and Charitable Trust for exchange of students, faculty members and cooperation in the field of research.

A team of medical experts from El Camino in San Francisco in the United States today visited the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Gian Sagar Educational and Charitable Trust for exchange of students, faculty members and cooperation in the field of research.

The team comprising of experts from El Camino Hospital (ECH) led by Nandini Tandon came at the initiative of Union Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur.

The MoU signed between the two institutions said that they were willing to cooperate for mutual benefit in improving patient care. The ECH offered expertise such as oncology, breast cancer, cardiovascular, diabetes, women related diseases and health issues, medical Innovation, robotics, and community care field, and offered to extend the collaboration with the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital.

The ECH will provide opportunities to physicians and administration staffs affiliated with the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital to visit ECH’s facilities to update their medical knowledge and skills through observation and interaction with ECH physicians and administration staff.

Earlier, the team was accorded a rousing welcome at the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital with Gurpartap Singh, Dr Sukhwinder Singh, and Harnam Singh, Chairman, Vice-Chairman and President respectively of the Gian Sagar Educational and Charitable Trust, presenting momentos to the team members.

The El Camino Hospital (ECH) team went round the hospital and interacted with senior faculty members. They were given a presentation about the Gian Sagar Medical College and Hospital by Dr AS Sekhon, Dean of the Gian Sagar Group of Institutions.
