The Union minister expressed that very soon a food processing training institute is being opened in Bathinda wherein the youngsters would be imparted training and would be imparted entrepreneur skills.

While answering another query about the Centre having rejected the state government's demand of drought relief package, she said that the central government would soon give Punjab a drought relief package.

She said that there were flaws in the formula for extending drought relief package and she has raised the matter.

"Due to lesser rain this monsoon season, farmers' dependence on irrigation had increased which ultimately raised expenditure on other resources such as diesel and power and, ultimately, increased the input costs so the state deserves the package and the same will be announced soon.
