Amid the controversy over Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) chief Kuldeep Bishnoi demanding SAD's expulsion from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) over its relations with Indian National Lok Dal (INDL) in Haryana, deputy chief minister and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal termed the relations between the two parties older than the formation of NDA.

Sukhbir Badal was speaking at a function here where he announced the induction of Joginder Kaur, 75, daughter of former President of India Giani Zail Singh and Congress leader Anil Bhola and others into the SAD.

Claiming that there was no confusion over the prevailing situation as SAD-INLD relations were older than the NDA.

He said that both parties had even contested assembly elections jointly in the past. He said that as Kuldeep Bishnoi's HJC would be decimated in the parliamentary elections, SAD might bring INLD into the NDA fold post-poll.

Bishnoi, in a letter to NDA chairman LK Advani, had demanded expulsion of SAD from the NDA for violating NDA's alliance code by openly campaigning against BJP and HJC in the recently held parliamentary elections in Haryana.
