Serial child kidnapper arrested

The Ludhiana police have arrested man who allegedly used to kidnap children and sell them in different parts of the state. Sub-inspector Surinder Kumar of CIA staff of police arrested Surinder Pal, a resident of Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, with a child from near Guru Nanak Stadium here on Tuesday evening.

The Ludhiana police have arrested man who allegedly used to kidnap children and sell them in different parts of the state.

Sub-inspector Surinder Kumar of CIA staff of police arrested Surinder Pal, a resident of Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, with a child from near Guru Nanak Stadium here on Tuesday evening.

The accused was currently residing in Jalandhar and had kidnapped two children. The accused had sold one of the kidnapped child to a family in Mansa district through one of his accomplice, Anju Thapar of Hoshiarpur.

As per the police the accused confessed to having kidnapped a child six months ago and sold it at Mansa. “One more child was kidnapped by the accused from Jalandhar railway station and is still with the accused,” police said. The child is 8-9 years' old and police have launched efforts to find him.

Meanwhile, the child that was recovered by the police on Tuesday has been sent to Bal Bhavan with the consent of deputy commissioner. Further investigations are on.

The police had earlier busted a gang of child kidnappers on October 19 in which 16 people were arrested.
