SGPC chief Makkar releases book on Harmandir Sahib

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Avtar Singh Makkar on Tuesday released the 145th edition of the book, 'Harmandir Sahib', authored by Dr Saroop Singh Alagh.

The first edition of this book was released in 1998. The new edition of the book, like its earlier editions, contains the history of the Harmandir Sahib or the Golden Temple.

The changes that have taken place over the years in and around the shrine are all incorporated in the latest edition. Pictures of the shrine, then and now, give an insight into the changes that have taken place inside and outside the shrine.
