In a statement issued here on Monday, SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar has called upon the US administration to take legal action against the company as it has hurt Sikh sentiments worldwide.

“This insulting act of the company cannot be forgiven or forgotten”, he added.

Sketches of the Golden Temple and the Sikh gurus are also found on several products (garments) being manufactured by the company.

These include T-shirts and even slippers. Besides on some of these products, Sikh religious symbols like the ‘khanda’ are also displayed.

“The US government should withdraw and ban all products being manufactured by this company", stated Makkar while calling upon Sikhs and members of other communities to boycott all products of the company.
Makkar asserted that the SGPC would also take legal action to get these products banned.
