A delegation of Press Club met the CM, who was in the city and demanded immediate withdrawal of the cases against photographers identified as Brijesh Kumar and Ravi, who were booked for abetment of suicide for creating circumstances, which led to Shivali taking the extreme step.

"It is highly condemnable to book photographers for abetment of suicide of Shivali, as they were virtually whistle-blowers of high-headed attitude of the inspector Balwinder Kaur, who was responsible for public humiliation of Shivali, which forced her to take the extreme step", president of Press Club, Major Singh said.

Badal assured the delegation of scribes, "I will get the case against photographers re-examined from competent authorities."
