Six persons, including a godown in-charge of marketing co-operative Markfed were arrested here for allegedly trying to sell wheat meant for distribution through PDS quota, police said here on Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, police yesterday nabbed the accused with 200 quintals of wheat while they were on their way on a tractor to sell it to a private mill at Malwa village.
Those arrested include Markfed godown in-charge, floor mill owner, two tractor drivers and two labourers, policesaid, adding that a sum of Rs 1.20 lakh was also recovered from their possession.
