Students upset over getting wrong question paper, PU cancels exam

Students of MA (Punjabi, third semester) of various city colleges were left disappointment when they found that the question paper of Panjabi Natak Ate Rang Manch Da Adhiyan-I (1637) comprised questions from another subject.

Students of MA (Punjabi, third semester) of various city colleges were left disappointment when they found that the question paper of Panjabi Natak Ate Rang Manch Da Adhiyan-I (1637) comprised questions from another subject.

According to the students, the heading of question paper was “Panjabi Natak Ate Rang Manch Da Adhiyan-I (1637)” but the questions were related to “Vishav Da Anuvadat Natak (1638)” subject.

As soon as the students got the question papers, they started complaining that they had no idea about the questions. They claimed that they were upset on getting the question paper comprising wrong questions.

“Our exams were already delayed as a previous exam was postponed. Now, this exam will be held again,” said a student, adding that many of the students come from the rural areas and were left disappointed due to mistake of university officials.

Another student said, “We left the classroom when we got to know that all questions belonged to 'Vishav Da Anuvadat Natak (1638)' subject.”

Re-exam on Dec 31

A notice on Panjab University's official website (www.puchd.ac.in) said, “It is notified that due to administrative reasons the exam of Panjabi Natak Ate Rang Manch Da Adhiyan-I (1637) of MA (Punjabi, third semester) has been cancelled and will be held on December 31. Timings and venue of the above said examination will remain the same.”
