Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar on Friday said it was "wrong" on the part of the Indian National Lok Dal to protest against the "Messenger of God'' (MSG) film, featuring Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

Tanwar, who was here, along with Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Kiran Choudhry and party state co-incharge Asha Kumari to chair the maiden of the three-day party meetings, said that protests by the INLD against the film was against right to expression of the Dera followers.

About the party meeting, he said it was a state-level meeting, in which all the former chief ministers, ministers, MPs, MLAs, current MPs and MLAs and other state units' presidents would deliberate upon the issues and time-bound programmes of the party against the ruling BJP government. The party district presidents would hold the meetings at district-levels and contribute to the party state body.

The leaders trio alleged that the ML Khattar-led BJP government in Haryana had neither political experience nor administrative, and the Congress would oppose it whole-hog after giving them six months, though, the people of the state had already realised their "mistake" of bringing BJP to power. Nonetheless, whenever there would be need to represent people's ire against the government, the Congress would reflect the people's anguish, as it did it in the cases of the NDA government's ordinance on land acquisition and the urea crisis in the state, they added.
