Third phase of Uhal power project to become operational soon

Work in the third phase of the 132 kilo Volt (kV) double circuit transmission line under the Uhal power project in the Mandi district has been now completed. The project would become operational from February 28, said the Sanjay Diwan, the additional Superintending Engineer of the HPSEBL, Hamirpur on Tuesday.

The line passes through Chulha 1 and 2, Banotha, Nansai, Sidhpur Maluya, Barog, Thali, Kot, Chhatrer, Daner, Banwar, Banal, Riyur, Shivdwala, Laungi, Khailag, Joran, Mairi, Sajyaya, Beedi, Pipli, Roso, Chandpur and Dagwani in Mandi district and Sangroh, Samirpur, Tikkeri,Panjot, Jhannikker, Kohlwin, Jhatwar, Thankari, Gunar, Gambhar, Havani, Gudhwin, Mulana, Bohni, Bhuran, Baroha, Panjahli and Mattensidh villages of Hamirpur district.

Issuing safety warnings, Diwan has also advised people to stay away from the line to ensure their safety, and said that the Corporation would not be responsible for any untoward incidents if people fail to comply.
