Three including a woman sentenced seven years imprisonment

The Additional Session judge (ASJ), has sentenced three persons including a woman, for seven years imprisonment, on charges of rape and kidnapping, here on Monday.

ASJ Anshul Berry convicted accused Anil Kumar, his mother Manju and bother Prakash. Main accused Anil has to undergo rigorous imprisonment for seven years along with a fine of Rs 5,000, three years for kidnapping under section 363 of the IPC, five years for abducting a woman to compel her for marriage (366 of IPC), a year for criminal intimidation (506 IPC) and six months for illegal confinement (342 IPC).

The accused kidnapped and consequently raped the victim on July 23, 2012.
