Three nabbed with drugs

Police nabbed Harnam Singh of Sardulgarh and recovered 105kg of poppy husk from him while his accomplice Amarjit Singh Babbu managed to escape. Police arrested the accused under the NDPS Act and claimed that the accused had confessed to being involved in smuggling for long.

He had brought the poppy husk at Rs 30,000 per 40kg bag and intended to sell it for Rs 50,000. In another case, police arrested Sunil Kumar of Mansa with 6gm of smack while accused Harpal Singh was arrested with 12 bottles of Indian-made liquor. The two have been booked under the NDPS Act.
