Three rebels Saturday returned to the Congress fold in the presence of Punjab party chief Amarinder Singh at a public rally here.

Welcoming Hansraj Jossan, Lali Majithia and Naresh Puri back into the party, PCC President said their homecoming will strengthen the organisation as they have a lot of influence in their respective areas.

He said these leaders had contested the assembly elections as independents to protest denial of tickets by the party. He said taking into consideration the public support, the party decided to re-induct them.
