She is MA, B.Ed and was in teaching profession. In these elections, she is facing the public ire, allegedly for remaining absent for most of the time from Faridkot. The Kisan Majdoor (labour and farmers unions) had shown black flags in many villages.

Joginder Singh, 56, Congress: The congress high command preferred to field its sitting MLA from Jaitu (reserved), who defeated the SAD vice president and stalwart Gurdev Singh Badal, former agriculture minister, first in 2007 and again in 2012.

Career Graph: From a worker at FCI labour union to district president and then national level executive member. Further, he was appointed as municipal councilor of Faridkot, Later, he was appointed as the president of truck union in Faridkot and finally a MLA, and that too twice.

Sadhu Singh was born in Manuke village of Moga district and had joined as draftsman in irrigation department, Chandigarh. He continued his studies in evening colleges and finally did his post graduation in English from PU Chandigarh.

He is mainly banking on the Kejriwal wave, besides being popular in academic field. He has his close links in academic, sports, culture, literary fields.
