Police have booked unknown persons for allegedly hurting religious sentiments after 52 torn pages of a ‘gutka’ (a copy of holy book) were found in Bhagta Bhai Ka village in Bathinda on Tuesday night.

Jagmohan Singh, ‘granthi’ at a village gurdwara, said the torn pages were thrown near the house of Harpal Singh. The pages were first noticed by one Gurdarshan Kaur.
A case under Section 295-A (hurting religious sentiments) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC has been registered, said police.
