Two booked for attack on cop

A day after, a family allegedly indulged in illicit liquor trade used its pet dogs to attack an assistant sub-inspector; the police have registered a case of attempt to murder against two persons. The accused have been identified as Harinderjit Singh and his wife.

A day after, a family allegedly indulged in illicit liquor trade used its pet dogs to attack an assistant sub-inspector; the police have registered a case of attempt to murder against two persons. The accused have been identified as Harinderjit Singh and his wife.

In a complaint, Punjab police ASI Gulwinder Singh alleged that, "On Saturday, I received information that one Harinderjit Singh indulged in business of illicit liquor. When I along with police party went to raid the house, the wife of the suspect opened the pet dogs in the house at the police party. The dogs bit me and the suspect tore my uniform and hit my head with a stick." The police on Saturday registered a case under section 307 against Harinderjit and his wife at C Division police station.
