Two booked for fake degree of Nagaland University

The police registered an FIR on Friday against two people Roop Singh and Navendra Singh for providing a fake graduation degree to complainant Trilochan Singh.
The matter of the fake degree came to light when Trilochan Singh's application form for gas dealership of Hindustan Petroleum was rejected on the basis of education.
"Trilochan Singh had applied for the dealership of an HP gas agency in Jagraon. He applied for this under the handicapped category for which the company asked for his certificates. He provided a graduation degree from Nagaland University, which was found to be fake. The complainant informed the police regarding the same. He told that Roop Singh (from Joga) and Navendra Singh (from Mansa) had provided him these certificates," said Jagraj Singh, station house officer (SHO), Joga.
The police have not ruled out the possibility of a racket behind this. "At this point of time we cannot rule out the possibility of a gang behind this whole operation of providing fake certificates from universities of other states," said the SHO.
An FIR under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120 (B) has been registered against the two accused who are on the run since the case was registered.
