Two booked for misbehaving with PAU security guard, cops

The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) police have registered an FIR against relatives of the two employees of the varsity for allegedly misbehaving with a security guard on early Sunday. The alleged accused also misbehaved with the police control room personnel who reached the spot after a call by the security guard.

The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) police have registered an FIR against relatives of the two employees of the varsity for allegedly misbehaving with a security guard on early Sunday. The alleged accused also misbehaved with the police control room personnel who reached the spot after a call by the security guard.

Police said one of the accused is the husband of a woman professor of the PAU, while the other is the son of a non-teaching staff employee of the varsity.

The accused allegedly entered into a scuffle with the security guard at the PAU gate number four when he asked for their identity cards.

Security guard Surinderpal Singh said they were under the influence of alcohol, and even misbehaved with cops.

The accused have been identified as Amanpreet Singh and Suminder Singh, husband of the professor.
Surinderpal Singh informed police that the accused arrived at the university gate number 4 at around 1am on Sunday, and were playing loud music in their car. And, they started abusing him after he wished to check their identity cards, he said.
