City station house officer (SHO) Sarvan Singh Bal said on Tuesday that persons arrested on late Monday night - Yashpal and his nephew Raman - were produced before a court here that remanded them in judicial custody.

Raman alias Gosha was murdered and his two friends, Gurinder alias Bau and his brother Ravinder alias Kaka, were seriously injured in a clash over a financial dispute with another youth, Lovely.

A case under section 302 (murder) of the IPC was registered against eight persons, including Lovely, his wife Neha, his brother Raman, mother Reena, uncle Yahspal, aunt Shobha, cousin Puneet and accomplice Kaka.

"We have launched a manhunt to trace the other accused," added Bal.
