Two killed as SUV rams into train in Abohar

Two people were crushed to death and a third injured after their SUV crashed into the Nanded Sahib Express at the railway level crossing at Situ Guno Road, Abohar, on Monday night.

The driver, Gursewak Singh, of Aligarh village in Jagraon, apparently failed to spot the crossing due to the fog. He and co-passengers, Karampal of village Bhuna and one Amritpal, the three killed, were on their way to Sriganganagar.

The railway police have registered a case and the bodies have been handed over to the families.
