Additional district and session judge Shalini S Nagpal on Monday awarded life term to a 28-year-old man for allegedly killing two teenaged siblings of a family in Sector 41 here.

Rahul, 28, a distant maternal uncle of the victims — Guarang Sahu (15) and his sister Kavita Sahu (17), was convicted on February 11.

Rahul, who is a distant relative of the mother of the victims, had brutally murdered the two victims with a sharp-edged weapon at their residence in Sector 41 on December 16, 2011. Police have claimed that Rahul had killed Kavita and Gaurang, after Kavita objected to his advances due to which Gaurang had a scuffle with the accused.
