An American national was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly carrying five live cartridges of .38 bore caliber when he was about to board a flight to Delhi from the airport here

The accused has been identified as George Danid Gilbert of New York city.
Gilbert told police he was a professional shooter and while coming to India he mistakenly brought the cartridges along with him. Police added that the cartridges were seized when Gilbert’s luggage was screened during routine checking.
The matter was reported to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which handed him over to the police. He was arrested under Section 25/54/59 of the Arms Act and sent to judicial custody.
