As per the police complaint filed by Mahesh Kumar, a resident of Sector 47 and an HR manager with Coca-Cola, said while he was on his way from the Sector-51 red light towards Bakhtawar Chowk, a motorcade of around 20 vehicles sped past his car. Kumar also said the motorcade was accompanied by a police pilot vehicle and a fire-fighting vehicle.

“The last vehicle in the motorcade, a cherry red Toyota Innova, hit my car from behind at around ten past four in the evening. I swerved to the side of the road and hit the pavement. While my wife and I were not hurt badly, our daughter Muskan who is 14-years-old suffered injuries,” said Kumar. Muskan was rushed to a nearby private hospital where she is undergoing treatment for a possible head injury.

“The patient is admitted in the high dependence unit and her status can only be determined after we observe her for the next 24-48 hours. The neurosurgeon has already seen her. She has some swelling in the brain from trauma after being hit,” said Ajay Kumar Saxena, chief executive officer, Park Group of Hospitals, where Muskan is undergoing treatment.
