During a meeting with Jaitley in New Delhi, the CM informed the former that the central government had been providing funds under CSS to special category states, particularly to the northeast states, in the proportion of 90:10.

"This pattern should also be adopted in the case of Himachal Pradesh so that the expectations and aspirations of people of this hill state could be fulfilled," he said.

Singh said Himachal Pradesh had done commendable work in the field of education, particularly in imparting education to the girl students, and had also earned a name in implementing all CSS in the field of health and education.

Highlighting the developmental road map of the state, he said there was a vast potential in the field of hydro and tourism sectors, which needed to be exploited with the help of different funding agencies.
