Virbhadra pulling out all stops to win Mandi seat

To ensure the victory of Congress candidate Pratibha Singh from Mandi parliamentary constituency, chief minister Virbhadra Singh is leaving no stone unturned as his reputation is at stake. The chief minister has had a hectic poll campaign across the region to seek votes for his MP-wife.

To ensure the victory of Congress candidate Pratibha Singh from Mandi parliamentary constituency, chief minister Virbhadra Singh is leaving no stone unturned as his reputation is at stake. The chief minister has had a hectic poll campaign across the region to seek votes for his MP-wife.

The BJP leadership, which is working relentlessly to ensure win of its new face Ram Swaroop Sharma has been putting up a united face and has taken many rebels back in the party. The Congress has failed to do so, despite the CM’s efforts to bring back the party rebels to mainstream to strengthen the party in region.

To seek votes for Congress candidate Pratibha Singh, the party leadership organised an election rally of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi at Dhalpur ground in Kullu on Sunday, where women, children and others in large numbers listened to her in the scorching heat.

Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sukhvinder Sukhu and chief minister Virbhadra Singh urged voters to exercise their franchise in favour of the Congress candidate and praised the Gandhi family for its sacrifices for the nation.

The CM said, “I urge people of the state to vote for the Congress candidates in all four Lok Sabha seats on May 7 to ensure the development of each section equally.”
