The water supply in and around Bhattiyan village was disturbed for the past four days owing to snag in the transformer due to which the motor was not working.

Former sarpanch Harbans Singh who is one of the candidates for panchayat elections to be held on July 3 from Chitti Colony in Bhattiyan said, the administration had completely failed in providing water to the residents of the area.

Harbans said, “We have complained regarding the unavailability of water to the concerned department several times but all in vain. So, we were forced to block the Bhattiyan-Bahadur K road to wake up the authorities to the matter.”

Thereafter, station house officer arrived and talked to the congress members and a message was then sent to the sub-divisional magistrate regarding the problem.
