Health minister Madan Mohan Mittal, who was here on Sunday to attend a function organised by the medical cell of Bharatiya Janata Party, said as the three-day period coincided with Saturday and Sunday, the committee would submit its report on Monday.

An inquiry committee headed by additional deputy commissioner Parneet Bhardwaj was constituted on the directions of chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Thursday. The committee was supposed to submit its report by Saturday, but as the ADC was away for a marriage to Delhi, it got delayed.

When questioned about the ignorance of the nursing staff at the civil hospital about the provisions of Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK), Mittal evaded a direct reply, but said the inquiry committee would look into all these points.
