“We will go to the deras in full public view. We will go to each one of them, even if their ideology doesn’t match with ours,” Sampla said at a meeting with journalists here on Tuesday.

“There are 582 deras which Scheduled Castes have faith in and numerous others belong to people of other castes and religions. Even if a dera has a following of four people, we will not like to miss it,” he said.

Speaking on BJP’s prospects in the polls, Sampla said the party was improving fast and was “no longer a weak contender”. He said they will hold a meeting with the leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) to finalise the seat-sharing. As per reports, the BJP and SAD are willing to swap four seats this time.
