Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Capt Amarinder Singh said here on Friday that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal would not be allowed to play a double game on Sikh militant leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s poster row.

“First, they (AAP) circulated posters asking people to celebrate Bhindranwale’s birthday. When the move boomeranged on them, Kejriwal tried to back out in his characteristic fugitive manner,” Amarinder said in a statement.

He also dared AAP to lodge an FIR and get the matter investigated. “If they (AAP) won’t do so, I will get it done after the Congress forms the government in Punjab. We will not allow them to play the double game of stealthily playing the extremist agenda and publicly denying it later,” he warned.

“It is a classic case of running with the hare and hunting with the hounds,” the Captain added.

Kejriwal had on Thursday levelled a counter-allegation that the poster carrying his picture along with Bhindranwale’s on social media was the handiwork of the Congress.

“You have always tried to survive on rumours... We are yet to hear any truth from you since you came into public life,” he told Kejriwal. The PPCC president said AAP Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur had also backed out from filing a complaint over the poster controversy.
