Worker dies in under construction jail building in Gobindpura

A worker deployed for electricity works at an under- construction building at the new Gobindpura jail died after he fell off a ladder while working on Saturday.

A worker deployed for electricity works at an under- construction building at the new Gobindpura jail died after he fell off a ladder while working on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Balbir Singh, a resident of Nathana, was atop a ladder while he was fixing electricity cables when he fell off the ladder.

Investigating officer, ASI Bant Singh of Nehianwala police station, said the incident took place at about 3 pm and denied any foul play in the incident.
