The case has been registered on the basis of the suicide note which held them responsible for suicide by Soni.

Bimal had reportedly checked in a hotel on the Abohar road in Malout on Friday morning. When he did not come out of the room by noon, hotel officials got suspicious about it and informed the police.

The police team found the youth dead in the bathroom of the hotel room. He had allegedly hanged himself to death.

"The police have recovered a suicide note from the youth and have booked Kapil Batra and Rajan Batra for allegedly abetting the suicide. Probably, the youth committed suicide due to some financial problems as he had invested a big amount in a film company, perhaps owned by these two people. However, further investigation is going on," said inspector Rameshvar Singh, SHO Sadar, Malout.

"The people, who had loaned him pressed him for return of their money while the alleged cheques given to him by the company bounced, which allegedly led him to commit suicide," claimed a source.
