"The agent took Rs 4.3 lakh to send my son to Greece on the pretext of an agricultural job with handsome pay. He also said that my son will be sent to Greece in a direct flight." said Jarnail Singh, father of Baljit Singh.

Baljit boarded the flight on July 11, 2011 and called home on July 13 to inform that he is in Turkey, not Greece.

"The agent cheated us. Baljit said that they will go to Greece via Turkey." said the grieving parents.

With no call from Baljit after July 13,2011, parents' suspicion grew and the family members ran from pillar to post to get information from travel agent's office, but with no success.

"The agent has whiled away ten months saying that he will get the information soon. Each time we visit his office, he is ready with a new excuse, but no information." said the ailing father.

The family had met the superintendent of police, Phagwara HPS Khakh, demanding an action against the agents.
