I settled in Sarita Vihar almost 15 years ago because my office was close to this place. I have fond memories associated with Sarita Vihar and nice things to talk about the colony. One of the most happening things here is the Senior Citizen’s Club which actively organises functions, tours, celebrations and parties.

Every week we have two functions in which we dance, sing and play. After every three months the club holds a tour to a historical, religious or entertainment place where all senior citizens travel together and have fun. Recently we went to visit the Akshardham Temple and India Gate.

Not only this every year the club organises tours to cities like Mathura, Jaipur, Jodhpur etc. Sometimes we even pool in money and go abroad for an international trip. Life here is very exciting and we practically celebrate every moment.

We do have problems and collectively raise our voice so that the concerned authorities take notice and act. We are not very happy with the municipal corporation of south Delhi as they are not prompt in terms of solutions. Since the population of senior citizens is quite high here, we also need a big hospital inside the colony.
