After Naa Peru Surya, Allu Arjun wants to serve in the Indian Army as an honorary member

After playing a soldier with anger management issues in Naa Peru Surya, actor Allu Arjun has a desire to join the Indian Army. He has already applied to join as an honorary member.

Actor Allu Arjun wants to take a leaf out of the reel character he played in Naa Peru Surya - Naa Illu India. Inspired by his onscreen character from his latest outing, Arjun said he’s eager to join the Indian Army soon.

Naa Peru Surya, in which Allu Arjun plays a soldier with anger management issues, opened big at the box office.

In the Vakkantham Vamsi directed actioner, Arjun played a soldier in the Indian Army with anger management issues.

Speaking on the sidelines of a special screening of the film organized for the army personnel in Hyderabad last weekend, Arjun was quoted by The New Indian Express: “We have shot the film in real locations with real soldiers. I have done many films in the past but the respect I have earned after playing a soldier’s role in Naa Peru Surya made me feel proud. I had applied to join as an honorary member of our army and I’m hoping to get a nod from the officials. That’s my only wish after I decided to do this film.”

Also starring Anu Emmanuel, Arjun Sarja, Sarath Kumar and Thakur Anup Singh, the character essayed by Arjun in the film required him to shed weight and he worked with a US-based trainer for close to a month to achieve the desired look.

The film, which has been dubbed and released as En Peyar Surya in Tamil, has music by Bollywood composer duo Vishal-Shekhar.
