Sai Tamhankar has had a fun week. Tabrez Noorani’s Love Sonia had its world premiere at the London Indian Film Festival last week, and Sai, who plays the character of Anjali in the film, was very happy about attending the event. The actor, who turns a year older on Monday, says, “Love Sonia premiered right around my birthday, which feels great. You do what you love, and it comes out around your birthday — what else can I ask for? I feel lucky and excited at the same time.”
The Rakshas actor says that this is going to be a jet-lagged birthday for her, as she will be back in the country just in time for the celebrations. “I’m going to spend my birthday this year with my near and dear ones. I may have a dance party and just chill,” she says. When asked about her childhood memories of birthday parties, Sai recalls how she would slyly tell her friends to get her gifts. “My house would get crowded with friends and we would all gather, dance and eat.”
Two years ago, the Vazandar (2016) actor gifted herself a swanky car, which she admits, remains her best birthday gift till date. She adds that she also likes to receive cards and written messages on this day.
Sai surprised everyone earlier this year with her fit, healthy makeover. So, does that mean there will be a special healthy treat on her birthday? “I’m going to eat every cake that I cut and every chocolate I get. Yes, I am conscious about my health, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to relish the food I love. I am going to eat everything and sweat it out the next day,” the actor says.
