Jackie Shroff is awaiting an interesting year ahead. The actor recently said he would make a cameo appearance in Lucky Morani’s Iranian-Indian film, Devil’s Daughter. Speaking about the association, he says, “This will be the 12th language I’ve spoken on the screen. I have worked in 11 languages so far, and this is an exciting addition. I play a cameo in the film, but I can’t reveal much right now.”

The Housefull 3 actor, turned 61 on February 1, and it seems turning older doesn’t really make much of a difference to him. “Nothing has changed for me,” he says, adding, “I have always been content and satisfied. To be honest, I grew up having nothing, so whatever I have today is more than I could have ever imagined.” The actor is currently completing his shoot for the movies Firrkie, Paltan and Saaho.

However, Jackie has a few things he would like to focus on this year onwards. “I have always been inclined towards gardening, and now I am going to focus more on it. I also hope people sit up and do something about water conservation. We don’t need panel discussions or live debates to discuss water. We need practical solutions. I think that Aamir Khan is doing a great job with Paani Foundation and we all should follow suit.”

The actor recently received an award from veteran actor Vikram Gokhale at the Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal’s Kalasanskurti Stars off Screen event. As a veteran actor with several awards to his name, Jackie feels that awards are a token of appreciation from the audience and they give him a boost to do better work.
