James Cameron to watch Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan?

Director of the 3D flick, Soundarya Rajinikanth, has sent the Hollywood maker an invitation for a screening; seeking his feedback on the movie. She plans to send a print in case Cameron is unable to visit Chennai.

After the makers of Rajinikanth’s next invited Shah Rukh Khan to the music launch of the 3D extravaganza, now the film’s director, Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin, has sent an invitation to Hollywood film-maker James Cameron for a special screening of



Last week, Soundarya personally sent him a formal invite for the screening. "In case Cameron is unable to make it to Chennai, a print of the film will be sent to him before the release date," informs a source.

Cameron, who has been known for his technologically advanced films, made headlines in 2009 for pushing the boundaries when it comes to the use of 3D and motion capture technology for Avatar.

The film went on to win three Oscars, including one for Best Visual Effects at the Academy Awards in 2010. Since Soundarya’s film also uses similar shooting techniques, she wants the director-producer to watch her film and share his opinion of

Confirming the news, Soundarya says, "I am a big fan of James Cameron and his film Avatar. I am quite keen to have him watch our film and give his feedback as Kochadaiiyaan is a first-of-its-kind project in Asia. We have got in touch with his office and are waiting for them to get back."
