Puli gets another big appraisal, from Rajinikanth himself

Puli released last Thursday with mixed reviews and actor Rajinikanth is latest to join the bandwagon.

While Rajinikanth is busy shooting for Kabali which is set to release around the Tamil new year, the superstar still took out time to watch the latest Tamil blockbuster Puli in a private screening and has been praising team Puli since then.

“I should say I’m amazed with Puli. The spectacular sets and the grand scale on which the film has been made is on par with Hollywood standards,” Rajinikanth said in a statement.

The superstar particularly commended actor Vijay’s efforts, which he describes as a “perfect treat for family and kids”.

Directed by Chimbu Deven, the film, despite initial setback, has grossed Rs 62 crore worldwide in the opening weekend.

Released simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, the film also features Sridevi, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani in pivotal roles.
