Ravi Teja next, Touch Chesi Choodu, is going to be an action comedy - a genre that the Mass Maharaja is best at. Here, his character oscillates between spewing dialogues like, “Family is an ocean of emotion” and shooting criminals who don’t know what ‘(a+b) square’ is. He plays a cop who bellows that if one can do their duty diligently, the case can be solved in exactly two minutes.
He is a cop who behaves more like a thug, chases people in slow-mo sequences, complete with special effects, and does action scenes in which people fall miles away with just a kick or punch. This looks like the stereotypical Tollywood film that shows the as a larger than life character who fights for the good, but uses shady techniques. Sounds like 10 other Ravi Teja films? Well, the actor seems to be comfortable in this zone and so we have another film soon to hit the screens.
Touch Chesi Choodu is directed by Vikram Sirikonda and produced by Nallamalapu Srinivas (Bujji) and Vallabhaneni Vamsi. The film also stars Raashi Khanna, Seerat Kapoor, Vennela Kishore and Savaji Shidne in pivotal roles.
Ravi Teja was last seen in Raja The Great, which did moderately well at the box office, but received mixed reviews from critics. With Touch Chesi Choodu, the actor is trying to regain a strong place in the film industry after his absence from the industry in 2016 and early 2017.
