The first trailer of Bengali film director Kamaleshwar Mukherjee’s Khwato, starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Paoli Dam and Raima Sen, was released on Sunday. The film is written and directed by Mukherjee.
Prosenjit shared the much-awaited trailer across social media platforms late on Sunday and wrote, “#?Khawto? slated to release this July is a story of Love,Lust,Hatred and Betrayal. The much awaited trailer is here for you all.”
Khwato is a thriller that traces the story of a writer who believes he can predict the future with his writing. The two-minute-long trailer is mostly peppered with blood and lust.
The storyline can be summed up in one dialogue of the protagonist Nirbed Lahiri (played by Prosenjit): “Lok e jeta bole, aami sheta korina..aami jeta likhi, Sheta lok e kore. (I don’t do things that people say, people do that which I write)”
Khwato is scheduled to hit theatres on July 22.
